Aircraft charter and management company Heron Aviation has announced the addition of a Cessna Citation Mustang to its fleet, under the Spanish registration EC-LCX.
The addition of the Spanish registered aircraft coincides with the German company’s expansion into Southern Europe, with the opening of a new Spanish subsidiary based in Madrid, Heron Aviation España.
“EC-LCX will mark the first aircraft incorporated onto Heron’s AOC in accordance with ICAO Article 83, contractually drafted and agreed upon by the respective national authorities of Germany and Spain in December, 2010, which enumerates the cross-border oversight authority of foreign registered aircraft between the two countries,” said the company in a statement, adding that they were happy to offer the knowledge and connections gained during this process to future clients.
The Spanish subsidiary, led by Mr. José Manuel Pérez de la Cruz, is to take care of all sales and marketing activities for the EC-LCX aircraft, which has a range of over 1.800 kilometres, making almost all of Europe accessible from its Spanish base.
