HeliFlite granted FAA approval for international expansion in the Bahamas and Caribbean

As of October 2023, HeliFlite, the leading private, luxury helicopter charter provider, has expanded its operations to include international routes to the Bahamas and Caribbean.

HeliFlite’s new services to these destinations are a coup for the rapidly growing South Florida client base.

With existing operations in South Florida, HeliFlite will now offer a convenient and luxurious travel experience from all South Florida airfields to Bakers Bay (Marsh Harbor), Nassau, the Albany Resort, and Bimini.

Clients can have the flexibility to select the date and departure time from their homes or local operation sites, including Miami Beach’s Watson Island Seaplane Base (MacArthur Causeway), Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, Miami International Airport, Fort Lauderdale Airport, and Palm Beach International Airport.

Despite their assumed proximity, travel from South Florida to the Bahamas can present challenges.

An international journey from Miami to Bimini has been transformed into a leisurely and relaxing 24-minute flight, all thanks to HeliFlite’s exceptional 24/7 Flight Operations Team.

This dedicated group works diligently behind the scenes, expertly coordinating every facet of your flight, from pilot weather briefings, departure times, optimal routing, aircraft tracking, and precise arrival times, to handling Customs procedures, fees, and processing, as well as facilitating ground transportation.

By expanding its portfolio to include the Bahamas, HeliFlite continues its commitment to delivering top-tier helicopter travel to exclusive destinations for its valued clients.

“We are proud to bring this service to market in an industry where luxury travelers once had to charter a plane from Miami to the beautiful beaches of the Bahamas and Caribbean,” said Kurt Carlson, HeliFlite CEO.

“We aim to provide an easy, seamless, luxurious, and most of all, safe and secure travel experience to our clients who have come to trust us for our reputation in the industry.”
