ArcosJet, a Dubai-based global aircraft brokerage firm, announced its purchase of shares in Air Chateau, a private heliport operator company, as part of a plan to develop a large-scale helicopter project in UAE.
Air Chateau owns a heliport at the VIP Terminal in Al Maktoum International Airport, which will serve as a foundation of an all-round ecosystem to operate and service privately owned helicopters.
“We see an unfilled market niche in developing private helicopter infrastructure in the UAE,” says Mikhail Alenkin, ArcosJet Founder and CEO.
“Together with Air Chateau and with support of the government of Dubai, we expect to unite heliports across the Emirates into one network with Dubai South and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), which will greatly improve door-to-door accessibility of the entire area for UHNWIs.
