Sheltair Provides a Response to COVID-19

Sheltair addresses the Covid-19 epidemic and its affect on the aviation industry.

At times of national emergencies, general aviation has consistently played a strategic role when key people need to be in the air. For two generations the aviation community has depended on Sheltair to be there to support the people and aircraft that help keep our nation connected at times of crisis.

That air corridor is now being tested as never before as America confronts COVID 19.

There is no higher priority to our entire Sheltair Family than the safety of our customers, tenants and employees.  It is important to know that by maintaining our high professional standards and numerous precautions undertaken by Sheltair, our FBO’s across the country stand ready to welcome you and meet your travel needs.  That commitment is in recognition of how important general aviation access is to you, your business, and the economy as a whole.

Of course we are tracking Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as local, state and federal health departments’ for the latest protocols that allow us to ensure safe operations for our employees and our clients“.

Expanding on CDC hygiene Guidelines
We have expanded our disinfection procedures at all facilities to provide the safest environment possible for our employees and customers.  From frequent handwashing, to the increased frequency of cleaning common areas, cleanliness has become as important as ramp safety. During this time we have also suspended open food offerings such as our traditional free popcorn, cookies and fruit“.

Educating, training and updating staff members
As this public health crisis continues to evolve, ongoing staff training is being conducted to enhance our cleaning and disinfecting procedures that maintain a healthy environment for our guests and staff. This effort follows Sheltair’s previous program of staff illness prevention and education.  As always, we are instructing our staff to stay home if they are unwell and following the CDC guidelines on social distancing.
