Saxon Air has been awarded government funding to deliver a brand-new Skills Bootcamp in Aviation, recognising its outstanding course design and industry-led approach to developing future aviation talent.

The programme was singled out for its exceptional quality, innovative curriculum, and real-world relevance, built in collaboration with aviation professionals and industry partners.

The Bootcamp will give participants the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, industry insight, and pathways into exciting aviation and engineering careers.

Saxon Air’s course will equip learners with cross-transferable technical skills spanning flight operations, ground handling, safety management, engineering fundamentals, communications, and sustainability in aviation – a sector undergoing rapid transformation as it moves toward Net Zero and advanced air mobility.

While aviation provides the central focus, the Bootcamp has been designed to develop skills relevant across a range of technical industries, including general engineering, transport, and agricultural engineering, ensuring participants gain a skill set that opens multiple career pathways.

Neil Turnbull, Director of Klyne Training at Saxon Air said: “We’re thrilled to have been recognised for the quality of our Skills Bootcamp proposal.

“Our goal has always been to make aviation accessible, inclusive and inspiring.

“This programme gives people the chance to explore a dynamic career in aviation and beyond, building skills that transfer into wider technical and engineering industries.”

The Aviation Skills Bootcamp builds on the proven success of Saxon Air’s two previous Bootcamps, which have already supported participants into employment and apprenticeships across the aviation and engineering sectors.
