Private aviation company Elevate Jet has unveiled an artificial intelligence-powered pricing platform designed to make private jet charter bookings faster, more transparent and potentially cheaper for travellers.

The company, which is marking its 30th anniversary this year, says its new AI system, known as Ruby, can generate charter prices that are up to 15% lower than prevailing market rates across a range of aircraft types and routes.

The launch comes as private aviation operators seek to attract new customers ahead of the busy summer travel season, when demand for premium travel services typically rises.

AI trained on three decades of flight data

According to Elevate Jet, Ruby has been developed using operational data gathered from hundreds of thousands of flight hours over the past three decades.

The company said the platform draws on information from charter flights operated for professional sports teams, music artists, entertainment clients and multinational corporations.

By analysing historical operational and pricing data, the AI system is designed to generate real-time charter quotes, recommend suitable aircraft and streamline the booking process through the company’s mobile application.

Elevate Jet argues that the technology brings greater transparency to an industry often criticised for opaque pricing structures.

Growing interest in private aviation

The company said it has seen increasing interest from first-time private jet users since 2022, as some travellers seek alternatives to commercial airlines.

Ruby is intended to simplify the charter booking process by providing instant pricing and aircraft availability, reducing the need for customers to request multiple quotations from brokers or operators.

The company also claims the system can optimise aircraft sourcing, scheduling and operational planning, helping to improve punctuality and efficiency.

Personalised travel experience

Beyond pricing, the AI platform stores customer preferences, including catering requirements, food allergies, onboard amenities and privacy preferences.

Elevate Jet said the technology can use that information to tailor future bookings and deliver a more consistent travel experience.

The company has also integrated operational performance data into the system, allowing it to assess factors such as aircraft condition, crew performance and fixed-base operator services when recommending charter options.

Human advisers remain part of the process

Despite the increased use of automation, Elevate Jet said human travel advisers will continue to support customers throughout the booking and travel process.

Founder and chief executive Greg Raiff said the company aimed to combine advanced technology with personalised service to modernise the private aviation experience.

Chief technology officer Jennifer Wimberly said the platform continuously learns from each booking and flight, allowing pricing models and operational recommendations to evolve over time.

Competition intensifies in digital charter market

The launch reflects a broader trend within the private aviation sector, where operators and charter brokers are increasingly investing in digital booking platforms and artificial intelligence tools to improve efficiency and attract new customers.

As competition intensifies, companies are focusing on faster quotations, improved transparency and personalised service as key differentiators in the growing online charter market.

Elevate Jet said Ruby is already being used through its booking platform and will continue to be refined as additional operational and customer data is incorporated into the system.
