Jetcraft Commercial, the commercial division of the global aircraft trading firm Jetcraft, is announcing a deal to buy 25 Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft frames and an agreement to place ten of these airframes, with separately sourced engines, with an undisclosed buyer.

All 25 airframes will return to the market as commercially viable assets.

Raphael Haddad, President, Jetcraft Commercial, says: “This is a milestone deal for Jetcraft Commercial, involving a large number of sought-after  assets, demonstrating our extensive global footprint and financial flexibility in finalizing a complex transaction with one of the world’s major airlines.

“While these aircraft were previously grounded due to the pandemic, we have identified the role they can play in airlines’ strategic fleet planning as travel ramps up, and have generated significant interest from the Americas, Africa and Asia, very quickly securing our first buyer.

“Working with OEMs, suppliers and MROs, while determining which aircraft will be converted, upgraded or dismantled – alongside sourcing engines for airframes to provide complete aircraft solutions – requires a level of sophisticated aircraft marketing, coordination and industry knowledge no one else can match.”

The remaining 15 airframes will be placed with different operators worldwide, with deliveries taking place from May 2023 onwards.
