Jet Aviation operates FBOs at 12 key US airports. Matt Feinstein, Vice President FBO Operations, EHS & Security, explains the operation
Jet Aviation operates several FBOs in the US, some of them at legendary business aviation airports. Does every location include a terminal building? Do the passenger, crew and aircraft services you offer vary at different bases?
Jet Aviation has some 50 locations worldwide, including 30 FBOs, 12 of them in the US. Each of these features a terminal building and ground handling, specifically tailored to the needs of our customers in that destination. Across our US network, we offer capabilities including line service, hangarage and ramp parking, and ground handling support, along with passenger and crew services such as crew lounges, flight planning support, concierge coordination, ground transportation arrangements and additional on-site amenities.
Service standards and branding are consistent across Jet Aviation’s US locations. How do you enable each site to express its local affinity?
We promise our customers an effortless experience at every touchpoint. This means the highest standards of safety and service, as well as an experience that is specifically tailored to them and their needs. With over 4,500 employees of over 80 nationalities, we see our global reach as a strength that enables us to welcome each and every customer with their specific preferences and personal and cultural needs in mind.
This also extends to understanding the local cultures and communities in which we operate, and ensuring that our FBOs have a local influence in both their decoration and amenities; for example, locally-inspired mountain décor in Bozeman, our signature ice cream cart in Palm Beach, or our recently refurbished pilots’ lounge in Teterboro, which offers amenities including a gym and golf simulator specifically designed with the needs of crew at this busy business aviation destination in mind.
How has Jet Aviation grown its US FBO chain? What is your strategy for choosing new locations and are more planned?
We are committed to growing our global network in line with the needs of our customers. In 2025 we launched initial operations at our new FBO in Miami-Opa Locka, and acquired an FBO at Paris-Le Bourget, France. Adding Miami to our network is key to further strengthening our footprint in the US. Florida is an important destination for business aviation, and we are excited to continue the legacy of seamless service that we have built in Palm Beach since 1985.
Similarly, as the busiest business aviation airport in Europe, Paris-Le Bourget is a key destination for many of our customers. Adding this location to our network enables us to continue to provide a seamless FBO experience across the globe.
Why do crews and passengers choose your US FBOs? And why do operators choose Jet Aviation to satisfy their wider aviation needs?
As a business aviation company with some 50 locations, offering four complementary lines of business, we can support customers across almost all aspects of aircraft ownership and operation. This means that our offering goes beyond ground handling or tenancy; we can also support customers in the management or charter of their aircraft, with finding the right crew and support team through our Staffing business, and with maintenance and completion.
Our FBO network offers global reach, with facilities located in key destinations where we know our customers are travelling, offering them personalised service and a commitment to safety across the region and beyond.
Compare a weekend flyer arriving in a Cirrus SR22 and a high-profile businessperson arriving in a Global 7500. How does Jet Aviation react to and satisfy the needs of these quite different customers?
We work with many different types of customer, from across the world. One thing that is consistent is that we strive to understand their specific needs, whatever those might be. Our teams work closely with our customers to understand how we can ensure that their experience is seamless, wherever they arrive, and whatever service they require.
