A US-based aircraft management firm has unveiled a newly built private aviation hangar in St Louis, signalling continued investment in the region’s business aviation sector.

Gateway Jets, headquartered in Missouri, has opened the 13,300 sq ft facility at St Louis Downtown Airport (KCPS). The development, valued at around $2m (£1.6m), is designed to support the company’s expanding operations.

The hangar can accommodate up to five midsize private jets and is tailored primarily for Cessna Citation-class aircraft, a segment in which the company specialises.

Designed with corporate operators and private aircraft owners in mind, the facility includes a secure private entrance, an executive passenger lounge, and a dedicated eight-seat conference room for flight planning and client meetings. Additional amenities include a full kitchen and shower facilities.

Gateway Jets said the new site aims to streamline operations while enhancing the experience for both aircraft owners and passengers.

Founder and president Corey Tomczak described the project as a long-term commitment to business aviation in the St Louis area.

“We built this hangar to provide aircraft owners with an efficient, professional environment that matches the level of service we deliver in aircraft sales and management,” he said.

He added that the combination of location, private ramp access and modern amenities would offer a seamless experience for clients.

The opening comes amid steady growth in the US private aviation market, as operators continue to invest in infrastructure to meet demand from corporate and high-net-worth travellers.
