US-based charter specialist Elevate Jet has completed the acquisition of a rare VIP-configured Boeing 757-200 on behalf of a long-standing private client, highlighting demand for high-capacity luxury air travel.

The aircraft, one of only a limited number of its kind worldwide, has been customised to carry up to 50 passengers in a premium configuration—far exceeding the capacity of traditional business jets, which typically seat between 12 and 14 travellers.

Elevate Jet said the aircraft would join its managed fleet after undergoing final configuration work. It is designed to support long-haul, multi-city itineraries for clients requiring large-group travel, including corporate delegations, professional sports teams and touring productions.

The company said the acquisition addresses a gap in the US private aviation market, where there are relatively few aircraft capable of combining airline-scale capacity with VIP standards of comfort and connectivity.

Greg Raiff, founder and chief executive of Elevate Aviation Group, said the aircraft would offer a solution for clients needing to move large groups efficiently without compromising on service.

He added that such aircraft remain in short supply, despite growing demand from sectors where reliability and scheduling flexibility are critical.

Only a small number of operators certified by US regulators are authorised to manage and operate VIP airliner-class aircraft, including Boeing Business Jets and Airbus Corporate Jets, placing Elevate Jet among a limited group in this segment.

The aircraft is expected to be equipped with high-speed satellite internet later this year, enhancing its capability for business travel.

Elevate Jet said the aircraft will not be available for general charter and will be used exclusively by its client, with similar high-capacity travel solutions arranged through its Private Jet Services division.

The company also recently launched a digital booking platform featuring an AI-powered assistant, as part of wider efforts to modernise the private charter experience.
