Duncan Aviation welcomes first business jets to new state-of-the-art maintenance hangars in BTL and LNK

Duncan Aviation has welcomed the first two business jets into the newest state-of-the-art maintenance hangars at its Lincoln, Nebraska, and Battle Creek, Michigan, MRO locations.

On Monday, February 5, a GL5000 was ushered into the new Lincoln hangar and four days later, on February 9, a CL300 was pulled into the newly constructed one in Battle Creek.

Both hangar maintenance projects broke ground in 2022 and boast a spacious 46,000-square-foot maintenance hangar with 32-foot-high hangar doors alongside an additional 62,000-square-foot, two-floor addition for storage and backshops.

Duncan Aviation collaborated closely with its long-standing partner, Tectonic Management Group, leveraging advancements in green construction technologies for both locations.

Sustainability features include light harvesting, radiant floor heating powered by energy-efficient boilers, LED lighting fixtures equipped with sensors, and automatic dimming capabilities.

These buildings and systems are engineered to surpass standard energy codes by more than 25%.

Jeff Lake, President and CEO of Duncan Aviation, says: “We did not build these hangars to gain market share, but to maintain the market share we have in a growing industry.”
