Two leading business aviation industry bodies have announced plans to end their long-standing dual membership arrangement later this year.

British Business and General Aviation Association (BBGA) and European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) said their joint membership agreement will conclude on 7 August 2026, bringing to an end a partnership that has lasted for more than a decade.

The agreement had allowed companies to hold membership in both organisations through a single structure, helping strengthen cooperation between the UK and European business aviation sectors.

Membership changes ahead

Both associations said the decision was made jointly after discussions about the future structure of the arrangement. The organisations confirmed they had been unable to reach an agreement on subscription fees, leading to the decision to end the current system.

Once the agreement expires, the dual membership option will no longer be available. Existing members will instead be asked to choose a new membership structure.

Further details about the process and available options are expected to be communicated to members in the coming weeks.

Continued industry cooperation

Despite the change, both groups said they would continue to collaborate on representing the interests of the business aviation industry at both national and European levels.

BBGA and EBAA said they remain committed to maintaining a constructive relationship and ensuring a smooth transition for companies currently holding dual membership.

The two organisations have worked closely together over the past ten years on policy, advocacy and industry development across the business aviation sector.
