Airside International
Airside International is a quarterly magazine aimed at airport authorities, airlines, handlers, equipment providers and infrastructure developers. The magazine is a response to airside infrastructure growth worldwide. New airside development brings with it the requirement for new installations, new service-providers, new equipment and new technologies. There has also never been so much red tape, be it environmental, planning or regulatory in this arena and we write knowledgeably about the key issues.
The winners in this new age for airport development could be many and varied. First there are the airport design, planning and construction companies who stand to gain from the significant investment airport authorities and local governments are pouring into new airside development. Second there are the manufacturers of ground support equipment on the ramp who have an increasingly wide spectrum of potential buyers to attract, be they airport operators, ground handlers, airlines or maintenance companies. Third, there are the manufacturers who supply lighting systems, hangarage, drainage systems, perimeter fences and all the other features that fill the airside landscape. Fourth, there are the airside service-providers – such as fuel suppliers and runway maintenance companies – without which any airport would come to a halt.
The airside component of the airport is awash with new technologies, new equipment and new services that have been developed to fulfil airlines’ wish-lists for a sleek, slick and uneventful airside experience. Airline Ground Services
Airline Ground Services, published twice a year, looks at the increasing diversity of services procured by airlines on the ground. We illustrate accurately how comprehensive airline procurement of services on the ground has become, both inside the terminal building and on the ramp. Airline Ground Services also features in-depth interviews with heads of procurement at the airlines, whether scheduled, charter, low-cost or regional carriers.
NEW IN 2012
In 2012 we will be launching the new industry directory of ground services providers within Airline Ground Services. This will be a valuable source of information on each company, giving operational locations, contact details of key personnel, their roles, and a full list of services offered to the airlines. Unlike the usual annual directories, this will be published every six months, making sure that the information is accurate and regularly updated.
Airline Ground Services’ editorial aim is to deliver far-reaching features and news items on traditional areas of passenger, baggage, ramp and catering activities. It additionally explores other services outsourced by airlines on the ramp including: line maintenance, refuelling, IT, security, cabin repair and cleaning. We do not forget the services available to airlines inside the terminal building either. This is where IT enablement of processes
is taking man-hours out of traditional handling functions.
In this magazine, we will also continue to deliver in-depth interviews with heads of procurement at the airlines, be they scheduled, charter, cargo, low-cost, regional or charter.

Cargo Airports and Services
Cargo Airports & Services was launched by Eva International to considerable acclaim in September 2011, and is a sister magazine to Airline Ground Services. It is now published twice yearly, although our intention is to increase frequency to quarterly in 2013.
As the name suggests, the magazine focuses primarily on cargo activities at and around airports globally, covering everything from airport strategy to ground handling sheds and the equipment inside them, and the freight forwarding facilities and logistics parks nearby – as well as, of course, the people who work in them. We also look upstream, at key challenges for airlines and forwarders, in order to understand the context for some of the cargo decisions affecting the airport environment.
Cargo Airports & Services contains a mixture of news analysis, interviews, opinion pieces, and in-depth feature articles, covering the international air cargo market.
