SITA and Skyservice: complete
May 23, 2009 10:00 pmSkyservice Airlines and SITA, the aviation IT specialists, have completed the worldwide deployment of a fully integrated automated passenger management system. The Canadian charter airline has also implemented SITA’s Advance Passenger Information Quick Query (APIS AQQ) solution.
The AQQ service allows the Department of Homeland Security to take control of vetting passenger names against the government's watch list, prior to departure of aircraft, and then automatically delivers authorisation to airlines to issue, or not issue, boarding passes as each passenger checks in.
The passenger management system implemented for Skyservice, based on SITA’s Horizon portfolio, comprises reservations, departure control services and a global managed infrastructure which includes WAN connectivity, LAN, and desktop equipment.
